Special Functions – MAP scaling
What is MAP – Manifold Air Pressure sensor?

Manifold air pressure sensor – MAP sensor, is one of the sensors used in an internal combustion engines.
In the most cases engines are fuel injected and the MAP sensor supplies in real time manifold pressure to the engine control unit (ECU) also called engine control module (ECM).
These data are used to calculate air density and determine the engine’s air mass flow rate, which in turn determines the required fuel for optimum combustion and influence the advance or retard of ignition timing.
Where can I find this special function?
If the vehicle and engine control unit are supported with this special function, you will find the MAP scaling mark in column “special functions”.
